Our school

Established in 1873, Ravenswood State School has a proud past and is committed to educating students for a smart future. We use effective teaching and learning practices which embrace the use of technology to ensure our students are well equipped to have a successful future. Our mission is to help and guide the children of Ravenswood State School to progress towards the full attainment of their potential as individuals and as future adult members of our community.

The school motto: Learning for Life, encompasses the broad range of teaching and learning which occurs in the classroom at Ravenswood State School. We strive for the highest achievement of literacy and numeracy skills while teaching lifelong learning skills to our students.

Students at Ravenswood State School enjoy a supportive and caring environment with learning experiences which encourage students to progress towards their full academic potential, while facilitating the social, physical, religious and cultural development of the individual.

Open communication and active participation are vital to the well being of our school. The staff and Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) of Ravenswood State School work together to achieve the best outcomes for our students.
